Day 1

Welcome

Welcome to Oslo, Norway! Upon arrival an included taxi transfer will take you to the hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, take the opportunity to explore the city. Begin with a leisurely walk through the streets, immersing yourself in the charm of the royal city. Why not visit Karl Johan's Street, renowned for its assortment of shops, bars, and cafes?

At 17:00, gather at the hotel's reception for a welcome meeting with your Tour Leader. This session will provide valuable information about the upcoming tour.

Day 2

The Lofoten Islands

Oslo - Evenes - Lofoten. This morning, enjoy breakfast before our early morning transfer to the airport.

Embark on a flight to Evenes, followed by a journey to the renowned Lofoten Islands. This archipelago, comprised of approximately 80 islands, is celebrated for its captivating nature. Separated from the mainland by the Vestfjord, these islands form a 150-kilometer chain from South-West to North-East, adorned with over eighty towering mountain ranges that soar above the sea.

Day 3

Panoramic Tour

Today is dedicated to exploring the untamed beauty of Lofoten. Draped across the waters of the Norwegian Sea, these islands are situated 300 km above the Arctic Circle. Renowned for their rich fishing heritage, unique nature phenomena like the midnight sun and the northern lights, and breathtaking landscapes, the Lofoten Islands promise an unforgettable experience.

Embark on a panoramic tour, visiting iconic locations such as Henningsvær, Ramberg, Reine, and Å, situated at the tip of a peninsula. Each stop unveils a different facet of the islands' charm, from the quaint villages to stunning landscapes.

Day 4

Vesterålen & Andenes

Lofoten - Vesterålen - Andenes. Today's adventure takes us on a scenic drive to Vesterålen, where the generally mild climate allows for the growth of typical arctic plants, adding to the region's unique beauty. Along the coast, you'll encounter picturesque old fishing villages adorned with colorful huts known as 'rorbuer,' showcasing the centuries-old heritage of fishermen and traders in the area.

In the afternoon we'll reach Andenes, where you can opt to join a thrilling Whale Safari. Beforehand, your guide will provide insights into the creatures you're likely to encounter, such as majestic whales and orcas, and ensure you're briefed on essential safety information for the trip.

Day 5

Terrific Tromsø

Andenes - Senja - Tromsø. The morning sets sail with a scenic ferry journey from Andenes to Senja, a 2-hour voyage through stunning seascapes. As the journey continues, pass by dramatic landscapes, adorned with quaint fishing villages and charming houses.

The route leads to Tromsø, a vibrant student city with a lively atmosphere. For centuries, Tromsø has been the launchpad for Arctic explorers, fishermen, trappers, and daring adventurers, preserving its adventurous spirit to this day.

The city encompasses museums, exhibitions, cozy cafes, and diverse restaurants. Make sure to take the time to explore - one must-visit is the iconic Arctic cathedral.

Day 6

Landscapes of Longyearbyen

Tromsø - Longyearbyen (Svalbard). After breakfast, transfer to Tromsø Airport for your flight to Longyearbyen. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Embark on a guided hike in Longyearbyen alongside a local guide, delving into the city's history and significance within the archipelago. This 2-hour journey takes you through key landmarks, from the Longyear Valley to the Hotellneset peninsula, encompassing the charming streets of the city, the Adventalen Valley, and the historical Mine 7.

Day 7

Stunning Svalbard

Today, prepare for an eco-friendly adventure delving into Svalbard's mesmerizing natural landscapes.

Set sail to Billefjorden and Nordenskiöldbreen's glacier front aboard a catamaran. This silent mode of travel allows for peaceful encounters with wildlife while preserving their habitat. Catch glimpses of Pyramiden's ghost town and Skansbukta Bay as you glide through these breathtaking vistas. Enjoy the vessel's outdoor decks, expansive indoor spaces with panoramic windows, and savour onboard refreshments while taking in the stunning views.

Day 8

Coal Mines and Camp Barentz

Today, prepare to explore Mine 3, a coal mine steeped in the history of the region's miners and their rugged lives in the mountains. Operational from 1971 to 1996, this remarkably preserved mine offers an immersive journey into the past, where donning a miner's suit, headlamp, and helmet, you'll embark on a 3-hour guided tour that brings the miner's world to life.

After this engaging experience, consider an optional Walrus Safari to Borebukta Bay for a unique encounter with these creatures (Highly recommended to book and pay in advance, as theres limited seats on the boat).

Later, enjoy a magical evening at Camp Barentz, nestled at 78 degrees north latitude in the Advent Valley. Here, under the midnight sun's glow, expect sightings of Svalbard reindeer, and if fortunate, glimpses of capercaillie and foxes. Hosted in cozy wooden huts, indulge in delightful drinks, homemade reindeer bidos, campfire coffee, and desserts under arctic skies.

Day 9

Back to Oslo

Longyearbyen - Oslo. Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and take a final moment to enjoy in the breathtaking beauty of Svalbard before departing for your midday flight back to Oslo.

Upon arriving in Oslo we'll head to our hotel which is located near to the airport, the remainder of your day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Why not take this opportunity to explore the city's vibrant atmosphere, perhaps wandering through its cultural sites, indulging in local cuisine, or simply unwinding and soaking in the city's ambiance.

Goodbye

Your Norwegian adventure comes to an end. After breakfast, make your own way from the hotel to Gardermoen Airport, or pre-book a private transfer with us.
