Front End Developer - Manchester, United Kingdom

Overview of the role
We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Front End Developer to join our Front End department.

Forming a new development team based in Manchester you will be responsible for upgrading and maintaining our customer facing website, as we re-engineer the customer journey to improve our conversion rates and give our customers the best experience possible.

The role will be mixed office (2 days a week)/ homeworking so self-motivation and the ability to work in both legacy and new systems will be key skills. You will be joining the business during an exciting period of growth and change. At the beginning of the re-engineering journey, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience to produce software which provide significant upgrades to the website which will drive key objectives the business and be a crucial contributor to the success of the company.

Core Responsibilities and Day to Day Activities

  • Front-End Development: Develop responsive, accessible user-friendly and maintainable web interfaces using Qwik(JS).
  • Data Analysis: With the support of the Product Director use data analytics to find opportunities to improve the customer journey.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate within the Front End team, tech team, marketing team and other areas of the business to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation for code, APIs, and development processes.

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Full Stack Developer to join our technology department.

Forming a new development team based in Bristol you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading our software systems and importantly, working on green field projects as we selectively re-engineer software which has supported the business for the last 20+ years.
