Sales Consultant - Australia

Overview of the role
As a Sales Consultant with On the Go Tours you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end selling, consultation, and booking for individuals, couples, families and groups including tailor made tours.

You will also be responsible selling within our direct channels and supporting our agency partners. Offering a high class service every time. Making relevant recommendations and offering alternatives when needed.

With a goal of growing sales and building excellent relationships with customers and agency partners, you’ll help drive the success of On the Go Tours.

Core Responsibilities and Day to Day Activities

  • Achieving KPI targets and meeting all reservation process requirements
  • Prioritising and processing customer reservations
  • Delivering exceptional service to direct customers & agency partners enquiring
  • Effectively communicating with customers & agency partners about their reservations and providing information to ensure a high level of customer engagement
  • Build your knowledge of all products and keep up to date with new and old products in order to provide the right first time outcomes
  • Full awareness of all internal and external policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that all follow ups are completed within the agreed contact arrangements
  • Managing your customer portfolio efficiently and effectively
Person Specification
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales experience
  • Experience of working in the travel industry would be a distinct advantage
  • English language proficiency: writing, reading and speaking are essential
  • Exemplary customer-oriented approach with a natural ability to build rapport with customers and to understand their needs
  • Experience working with computer-based booking systems – Quickly navigate software programs and booking systems
  • Excellent writing skills with clear communication
  • Collaborative individual and a real team player
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Ability to work in a fast passed environment
  • Target orientated
  • Self-motivator and resilient
